Coach James Banks
Sports Performance Specialist
Coach Banks is the head sports performance specialist and President of Forward Performance Athletes. He was born in New Orleans, LA and has always been involved in sports since he was 5 years old. As a former high school standout, college and professional athlete, he understands the importance of athletic development across the board. Coach Banks specializes in technique skill and functional movement development for all sports. He is AMFPT certified and has a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
At Chalmette High School Coach Banks broke the school rushing record in 2010 with 1, 716 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns. He finished his high school career with 3, 498 rushing yards which led him to attend the All- District and All- State Honors.
While at Louisiana Tech University, he joined the football team as a preferred walk on before transferring to Mississippi College for his last two years of eligibility.
Not only did Coach Banks earn a trip to the Dream Bowl IV All- Star Showcase in 2016, he also was selected to play for Team USA. There he won a silver medal in Monterrey, Mexico and won MVP in the championship game between Team USA vs. Mexico.
Provided that he was an outstanding athlete, his career had just begun. In 2016 Coach James Banks entered the NFL Draft board for a possible pick on the New York Jets. Despite his misfortune of not being selected, he went on to play professionally for the Florida Red Wolves of the Rival Professional League, where he won the 2017 Miami Regional Championship.

Nina Waite is a native from South Florida who joined Forward Performance Athletes alongside her husband James Banks.
Nina contributes to Forward Performance in digital and social media marketing, event management, promoting, as well as Forward Performance's web design.
In addition Nina plays a huge role by capturing professional imagery of Forward Performance's athletes.
